Ramadhan is almost here!

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone!!

February has been no less hectic than January since we had two big programs back-to-back. I was also involved as an AJK for both, so yeah… your girlie stayed busy the entire month (sigh...).

But honestly, things got so much better because I finally have a yapping friend!! A MyStep teacher came in to replace Ustazah Farhana during her maternity leave, and guess what? She’s my age, thank God!!! She also lives somewhere close to me, AND we share the same braincell… another thank God 😭✨

I genuinely feel like God listened to my rant in the last post and sent her to cheer me up hahaha. It felt so good finally having someone I can make Gen-Z jokes with. No offence at all, the other teachers have been super nice to me, but the age gap is just... there.

My new friend has also helped me a lot with my AJK tasks and class teacher responsibilities since she’s teaching the same class as mine.

My yapping friend, Cikgu Insyirah!! Yeayyy!!

On top of that, I finally mustered up the courage to talk to another new English teacher who actually came a week earlier than I did. I was lowkey intimidated at first because he looks experienced af while I’m just there feeling like a total newbie...

But we ended up clicking after joining a PLC under the English Committee. We had to mark the RI diagnostic test, and as the newbie I am, I had sooo many questions. Thank God he’s experienced in handling RIs, so he guided me through a lot. Somehow, we even transitioned straight into “kau” and “aku” because saying “saya” and “awak” felt way too awkward HAHA.

Marked the RI test papers at the Dewan Sekapur

Honestly, all of this made my experience at school so much better. Even as an introvert, it really proves that I still need friends to talk, laugh, and banter with just to survive the day.

And finally… I had my first proper week-break as a teacher. For the first time in a while, I actually had the space to breathe and reflect. Somehow, everything is slowly starting to make sense—the routines, the responsibilities, the little wins in class. It’s still overwhelming at times, but I feel like I’m finally settling into this teacher life bit by bit.

Now, I’m honestly really excited for Ramadan to come. I’m hoping it’ll be a month of peace, grounding, and a much-needed reset after such a hectic start to the year.

Wishing all Muslims around the world a blessed and meaningful Ramadan. May this holy month bring us peace, strength, and countless barakah. 🌙✨

Ramadan Mubarak everyone, and goodbye for now!

January 2026 Wrapped!

Hi and assalamualaikum everyone! January honestly felt sooo long, and suddenly… boom, it’s already February. Time really said blink and you’ll miss it

So here’s my January wrapped, because why not haha :D

I started the year with a social media cleanse. Deactivated most of my accounts because the constant comparison was really getting to me, and my mental health wasn’t in the best place back then. Stepping away turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. I’m slowly back on some platforms now, but with better boundaries and a much healthier mindset.

Mid-January, the teacher posting result came out around 10 pm, and honestly—shock is an understatement. I got a school super close to my house, like 10-mins kinda close. Bak kata orang, berlarilah ke mana pun… jika kau milikku, pasti kau milikku (pls tell me you get the TikTok reference or I’ll sound dumb...). Also learnt that my mom’s doa is truly undefeated.

Hail the Queen 👑.

January also marked a big milestone in my driving journey. That random burst of courage to drive alone to Econsave somehow convinced my parents to let me drive to school every day. Still very much dependent on Waze, but hey—progress is progress okay. 2025 me would never believe I’m now driving my mom’s Exora everywhere.

I was assigned to teach Year 1 English, and honestly, I lose my mind every single day. Gen Alpha kids are really built different. On top of that, I’m also the guru pembantu for a teacher on maternity leave, which basically means I’m the stand-in class teacher until April 2026. This happened in my first week, by the way. With my credentials still not registered, admin duties have been pretty tough. The class is also still togel with zero decorations. Haih…

By my second week, I slowly eased into the routine. I started driving earlier to reduce my anxiety, explored places around the school, and since I don’t really have a yapping friend yet, I end up recording LOTS of car videos just talking to myself... Big thanks to Muna and Izzah for always being my go-to listeners outside school hours—I LOVE YOU GUYS FOR THAT <3

Me, talking to myself because I don't have a yapping friend in my workplace yet...

The teachers here are super kind though, very mak-mak vibes. Always asking, “Dah makan ke belum?”. Some of my former teachers are here too, now my colleagues. Life really comes full circle. I also teach PJPK, and starting next week, I’ll be teaching Kesenian as well. The learning curve in school is very steep okay... I had to consult another PJPK teacher on how to write and execute the lesson plan for PJ because it is totally different from English's LP 😭

There are days I feel like a total failure, but life keeps on sending me unexpected blessings. It is in my 2026 resolution to try counting my biggest wins every day so I didn't let my insecurity gets to my head haha. Rasa macam banyak benda jadi in January, but every opportunity feels like a redirection.

Thank you Allah for all the blessings. Doakan saya dapat angkut kereta sendiri ya—penatlah drive Exora, minyak macam air T_T #adulthingshi

Okay sampai situ je, bye bye jumpa lagi kalau rajin!
